Bad Hair

Bad Hair is a satirical horror film from Justin Simien (Dear White People). It’s about a young Black woman named Anna trying to move up the ranks at her TV station and become a VJ (it’s 1989!).
But, something wicked came her way…

When the film premiered, we wiped the @hulu IG for an in-world takeover: going from the vibrant and friendly Culture TV station to the spooky and scary Cult.

To get fully into the 80s world of Bad Hair, we collaborated with Momo Pixel to give it the retro 8-bit game treatment. I helped produce, gave creative direction, and edited the in-game script.
